The services provided on our SEMCA MichiganWorks! side, is a One-Call, One-Stop system that connects individuals and businesses with the services they need—quickly and efficiently. The SEMCA Mission is to maintain an active presence in Southeast Michigan substance abuse delivery system by utlizing all our resources, experience and expertise in evaluating, monitoring, and funding distribution. Our vision for our region is a vital, competitive economy that is sustained by regional private/public partnerships that develop a productive workforce. SEMCA is governed by three volunteer boards. The Workforce Development Board, the Education Advisory Group, and the Substance Abuse Services Board (SEMSAS). The SEMCA Workforce Development Board is composed of members from the public and private sectors who work to ensure that the system works for everyone. The SEMSAS Board is comprised of local public health and community representatives. These board members are appointed by the Southeast Government Alliance (SEGA) which is a consortium of local government entities. To make the system work, SEMCA provides initial contact and assessment services and then either refers the caller to one of several One-Stop Centers or directly to the appropriate service provider. The SEMCA system case manages every customer to ensure that their personal plan is successful. This means that a single free phone call can connect you to dozens of local, state and federal agencies that can help—today! That makes SEMCA the perfect combination of customer service and valuable information. SEMCA —Working for You! |
